Primary caregivers are shoulder the responsibility of caring for their loved ones, ensuring their safety and helping them with daily tasks. It is not uncommon for a caregiver to experience feelings of “burn out.” Having a full-time job and other responsibilities may necessitate the need for respite care.
Bellaken Garden & Skilled Nursing Center works with the local support groups and hospice agencies to provide respite care to these primary caregivers. Some hospice agencies may even cover the cost of respite care for up to 5 days. We give primary caregivers the opportunity to seek out rest and refreshment for themselves. Engaging in respite care, even for short periods of time, can be invaluable to the caregiver’s physical and mental health, and it can provide them with the needed motivation to continue providing great care to their loved one.
